The largest building waste recycling plant in Europe, Devarem, has recently chosen the RDS Loadmaster 8000 as it’s preferred on-board weighing system, supplied by RDS Nord-Est. Dealing with over 700 000 tons a year, the site, 13kms from Lille in France, is over 10 hectares in size and has an on-site building larger than one hectare!

Amongst the various other advantages the Loadmaster offers, the ability to quickly send exact details of transactions via a two-way GPRS signal was the clincher for Devarem.

“This instrument, successfully tested with respect to widening our operations with numerous other similar plants in the area, will give us the opportunity to manage and control from a single source all the data received from a single site,” explained M. Philippe Grégoire, Operations Director for Devarem. This system allows them to not only raise invoices much quicker than before, but also leads to a more productive working day for a driver and a more efficient and profitable operation for the company.

Damien Fossaert of RDS Nord-Est says, “It is this ability to liaise with the central office that makes this system original and stems from the fact that the RDS instruments are computers, not calculators.”
