Effective stock and product management has never been so important given the challenges businesses face in today’s economic climate. To this end, RDS Technology will be exhibiting its cost-effective range of on-board weighing instruments, emphasising the efficiency gains that can be achieved by investing in this technology leading to improved productivity.

The new generation Loadlog 500+ for small loaders and skid-steers is cost-effective, easy to use and includes new software enhancements for increased accuracy and consistency of the bucket and total load results which compensate for the effect of external influences on the system, such as changes in direction of travel and engine/lift speed.

Also benefitting from innovative enhancements to the weighing algorithm for static and dynamic weighing modes, the Loadmaster i range of on-board weighing scales for larger loaders offers more scope for the effective management of weighing data. The Loadmaster 8000i has an integral SD card port for the fast and efficient transfer of data between loader and office PC and enables pre-registered customer reference data to be uploaded directly to the instrument.

In addition to these enhancements, RDS is delighted to announce the Loadmaster 9000i on-board weighing system for wheeled loaders has successfully passed the European MID weights and measures approval tests.
The MID approval means the Loadmaster 9000i now conforms to both class Y(b) levels of accuracy. This approval is valid across the EU and other associated states meaning that any approval carried out in the UK for example is valid for commercial use in another EU country e.g France.

For further bespoke data management options, the Loadmaster 9000i DMM is an extended data-handling module. This has been specially designed with the integral SD card port central to the system. Up to six separate reference fields for each truck loading cycle can be stored in a comprehensive database for increased record keeping. The details of each field can be uploaded to the instrument from the SD card or programmed onto the card through the instrument directly. The card exports the weighing data into an Excel compatible file, ready for use with company invoice and record systems. Such product traceability makes it ideal for material handling applications in demolition operations, recycling plants and other potentially harmful or toxic areas.

A number of on-board weighing scales from RDS are also compatible with the new RDS ICP 300 printer. This new, in-cab thermal unit has lower power consumption, an �easy paper-load’ feature for fast roll replacement and improved dust protection in harsh environments, enabling the rapid and accurate production of tickets for record keeping.
