Latest News > Busy summer sees RDS show the weigh for the future
A busy UK show season for RDS recently ended with four exhibitions in the space of two weeks across the country.
London was the first stop with the new CIWM-organised Futuresource at the ExCel Centre, where RDS emphasised the benefits of the Axlog-Alpha axle-overload warning system and gave the Loadmaster 9000i on-board weighing system with new pan-European MID approval for sale of goods its UK debut. Both instruments caused a great level of interest, in particular the Axlog, as a simple to use and cost-effective means of increasing vehicle safety on the roads and decreasing wear and tear and fuel costs.
RDS also exhibited a similar series of on-board weighing instruments the following week at the PAWRS event in Paignton, Devon. This new exhibition in a familiar venue also proved a success for RDS with a number of orders taken on the stand for Loadmaster on-board weighing scales for use in recycling and waste-handling operations.
The SHD South West Regional Show, which took place in Bristol, is a focused, one-day only logistics event and RDS took this opportunity to further promote the range of on-board load monitoring and control systems for forklift trucks. The event was attended by an excellent range of visitors with a solid interest in forklift truck weighing and axle overload warning and RDS returned with a number of first-rate opportunities to follow up.
The agricultural market also had one of its premier shows take place near Royston Cambridgeshire. Cereals is a major event in the farming calendar and showcases the best in the arable farming world. RDS was again present and visible across the show including on many OEM machines and as an available option with other manufacturers. On the exhibition stand itself, interest from the farming community was heavily biased towards the Weighlog 200 on-board weighing system and the Ceres 8000i yield monitoring system for combines.
